¡á Waste Oil Incinerator

HYUNDAI ATLAS Incinerators are produced by technical license agreement with ATLAS Incinerator A/S Denmark.

Text for specification Shipboard Incinerators.
Fully automatic Incinerator for simultaneous burning of oil sludge and solid waste, equipped with a hot loading non fireback sluice fo continuous feeding of solid waste (alternative manual feeding door), and holding a valid IMO type approval certificate incompliance with :

  • IMO RESOLUTION MEPC 76(40) adapted on 25 September 1997
  • Tested acc. to standard specification for shipboard incinerators - adapted on 26 September 1997
  • Fulfilling the Guidelines for the Implementation of MARPOL 73/78 Annex V and Annex VI

The incinerator to be a multi-chamber design with afterburning system to achieve appropriate mission limits.

The unit shall include all necessary components and be air cooled and equipped with an induced draught air ejector for evacuating the shock-cooled flue gases.

The incinerator shall be able to operate with on oil sludge mixing tank. This sludge tank shall be equipped with a pump for agitation and comminution of the contents of the tank elimination the need for setting. separationg of draining water from the sludge before incineration.

¡á BASIC PRINCIPLES OF HYUNDAI-ATLAS INCINERATOR

The incinerator is designed according to the basic principles of ensuring a highly efficient combustion and a high degree of safety.

The first principles is relapsed by means of :

  • High combustion temperature
  • Secondary combustion chamber
  • Level of inside insulation(maintenance a constant temperature in the combustion chamber).
  • Reduction of pollution from the incinerator.

The high degree of safety is relapsed by fully automatic operation and monitoring of the Incinerator, complying with the words most restricive requirements. Furthermore by an air cooling flow surrounding the combustion chamber in the space between this and the external surface of the incinerator. This degree of safety should eliminate and concern about the incinerator, once it has been installed.

¡á THE INCINERATOR

The incinerator is designed with a primary combustion chamber for burning sludge oil and/or solid waste, and a secondary combustion chamber for burning out un-combusted exhaust gases. The primary combustion chamber is equipped with a diesel oil burner called primary burner.

¡á PRIMARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER

Ther incinerator is designed to burn solid waste and/or oil. The heat from the primary burner will dry out and start burning the solid waste and/or ignite the sludge oil. The very large heat transmission area in the primary combustion chamber optimizes the drying and burning of the soild waste.

¡á SECONDARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER

The primary and the secondary combustion chamber are separated by wall made of ceramic heavy duty refractory. In the secondary combustion chamber the gases from the primary combustion chamber will burn out.

¡á ADVANTAGES

  • Multi - Chamber
  • PLC and PID Controls
  • Afterburner
  • Atomizing, non-blocking sludge burner
  • Self-cleaning strainer
  • One pc. Oil studge treatment tank for comminution and agitation of the contents of the tank
  • Simultaneous burning of oil sludge and solid waste
  • Shock cooling of the flue gases eliminating formation of harmful dioxides
  • The exhaust draft eliminates the flue gas fan
